The late 1940s and into the ‘60s are considered the Golden Age of motorcycling.
During this period, the boots of choice were patterned after
those worn by Grand Prix motorcycle
racers such as Mike Hailwood, John
Surtees, Jeff Duke, and Giacomo Agostini.
We call our boot the “Classic” in honor of that period.
This style was also the boot of choice for Cafe Racers (they still are today).
Gasolina Classics are a celebration of these wonderful boots,
integrating the best features of that exciting era in a single
streamlined design.
-
Constructed of high quality top grain 1.2 to 1.4 outer leather.
-
Completely lined in glove-soft leather.
-
Vat dyed so the color permeates the leather, resisting scuffs and wear.
-
Our boots have a
soft leather flap that runs the entire length of the zipper, blocking
wind and protecting your socks, pants, and skin.
-
Made in small batches, with great attention to detail, no assembly line - they are assembled by hand in our small mountain town.
-
Solid, natural
rubber soles for excellent grip and durability when riding. Springy and
limber, not spongy like synthetic foam. Comfortable for walking - if you
break down you'll be glad you wore Gasolinas!
-
Measures 15" - 38cm from the ground up.
-
They are available in US men's sizes 6-13, in narrow (B), medium (D), and wide (E) widths. EE is possible but may take extra time to manufacture.
Since sizes
vary with different manufacturers we ask our customers to email us
three simple measurements, in addition to the size you wear most often. Also, let us know if you will be wearing leathers or jeans tucked into your boots, or if you would prefer a slim fit for wearing underneath jeans.
